The aerial view from c.1940-50 includes the Green in the center: East and West Wheelock Streets run right-to-left while North Main St. defines the Green on the left and College St. on the right. Note the Bissell Gymnasium at the lower right across from Wilson Hall; also the playing fields of the Clark School where the Choates would later stand at upper left. The 19th-century Inn adjoins a 20th-century addition that still stands.
