All the land from Main to the River and From Webster Avenue to the Cemetery was part of the Hitchcock Estate, surrounding the Hitchcock Mansion. This view looks east along Tuck Mall with Hitchcock Hall visible at right. Today one would see Baker Library behind where the house stands.
