The caption reads "Cutting & Baking the Hanover Cracker. Smith & Son, White River Jc. Vt." The card is unused but similar to one postmarked 1909. E.K. Smith built what is now the Native Americans at Dartmouth House (1852) as well as two buildings south of it, now gone. The bakery moved to White River Junction in 1871.
